An India-centric syllabus has been especially designed by the ISS. Each module will be transacted through a series of lectures which will be delivered by renowned academicians from the Jawaharlal Nehru University and other reputed institutions and organisations.
The application process for our 2016 session is now underway. Stage I of our process closes on April 30, 2016.
Engage with eminent speakers on topics & issues that shed light on contemporary India. These interactions are exclusively organised for the students of the ISS. A short course on conversational Hindi is also part of the programme.
Interactive workshops on issues related to sustainable development have also been planned in association with 5waraj, an organisation which looks at sustainability from the perspective of traditional practices in terms of the ‘Five Ds’ - Dialect, Diet, Dress, Dwelling and Dances & Songs.
Tourism & Culture
Events that showcase India’s rich culture and heritage as well as visits and excursions to sites of touristic importance have been scheduled throughout the six-week programme. Visits to the Taj Mahal and to the Pink City of Jaipur are undoubtedly among the highlights of the programme.
Volunteer with Ritinjali as part of its community development initiatives. This experience will also be an assessed component of the programme and, therefore, eligible for academic credits from the ISS.
